In June, within the framework of the Belarusian Agro-industrial Week, the results of the national tasting competition "Champion of Taste – 2022" were summed up. The company's products have once again earned high awards from the consumer preference competition.
In 2022, KAMAKO participated in the competition in two product categories: ketchups and sauces. All the products submitted for the competition earned the highest marks and became holders of I degree diplomas.
In the Ketchup category, natural ketchups of the highest category under the KAMAKO brand were awarded.:
- KAMAKO Classic ketchup
- KAMAKO Kebab ketchup
- KAMAKO Lecho ketchup
– The KAMAKO ketchup line is the answer to the request of consumers who are the most demanding on the composition of food products. These ketchups are made without preservatives, food additives with the "E" index, starch, GMOs, which is achieved through the use of modern technology of "hot filling" and multilayer metallized doypack packaging. That is why the consumer sees the label "premium quality" on the ketchup packaging, which indicates that such a natural ketchup of the highest category is suitable not only for adults, but even for child nutrition. And since we all know from the example of our own children how much they like ketchup, it is very important to choose only the best and highest quality for them," commented Natalia Chernik, Marketing Director of the KAMAKO Group of Companies.
In the Sauces category, the awards were awarded to original sauces from the well-known and popular KAMAKO line of ethnic sauces.:
- KAMAKO sauce "Swedish Lingonberry"
- KAMAKO sauce "Japanese sesame-nut"
The folk tasting took place at the stand of the competition at the International Specialized Exhibition "Belagro". The tasting participants highly appreciated the bright taste of the products. At the stand of the competition, one could witness lively discussions about which dishes should be served with original ethnic sauces. National experts came to the conclusions: Swedish – for meat, poultry and cheese, and Japanese – for fish, sushi and rice.
– It was very pleasant to see that the presentation of our competitive products became as vivid and unforgettable as their tastes. Most consumers already know our ethnic KAMAKO sauces, which are assembled into one wide range according to the country principle as a kind of encyclopedia of authentic recipes from different food cultures. Moreover, they not only know them, but also have their favorite tastes, which they can no longer do without and have firmly fixed them in their daily diet. In fact, despite the traditions of using these sauces in their countries of origin, every consumer can safely choose their own style and come up with their own branded recipes based on individual taste preferences. That is why we so often receive feedback and comments from our consumers about how delicious it is to eat traditional Belarusian draniki or cheesecakes with KAMAKO sauces," Natalia Chernik said.
Champion of Taste is the only competition in Belarus in which products are tested using the method of "blind" comparative tasting, therefore it is rightfully considered one of the most impartial.
At the first stage, a professional expert jury selects the finalists for each nomination, then more than 100 national experts determine the best of the best. Throughout the entire competition, neither experts nor consumers know which brand they are tasting. To do this, all samples are presented in encoded form, and participants are provided with information that does not allow them to identify samples with manufacturers' products. This approach allows you to get the most objective estimates.
The award ceremony for the winning companies took place on June 10, 2022 on the main stage of the Belagro International Exhibition.
